ALBION ROW

Best of 2017

My annual round up of favourite wedding images from 2017

*Update: you can see more recent ‘best of’ collections here for 2018 and 2019*

2017 has been a crazy busy year of wedding photography for me, loads of amazing weddings with amazing couples all over Cornwall (and a few further afield). I’ve loved it all! Thanks to all the couples who’ve trusted me to capture their awesomeness!

There’s no real rhyme or reason behind my choices, I just grabbed the ones that tick a box for me in some way. This selection represents a tiny fraction of the images I’ve made this year, but something about them caught my eye, it could be a spot of stunning light, a beautiful emotional moment, something a bit odd, something funny, a bit of insane dance floor action… anything that makes me feel it! My images aren’t about perfection, they are all about feeling.

There’s images in here from weddings at Porth En Alls, Knightor Winery, Carbis Bay, Cornish Tipis, Kilminorth Cottages, Prideaux Place, Pengenna Manor, Penmorvah Manor, The Metropole, Chycara, The Alverton, Huntstile Organic Farm, Fowey Hall, The Green and of course, one of my favourite places I work at regularly, the beautiful Lusty Glaze Beach! Oh and some random marquee-in-a-field weddings of course! I’ve probably missed some!

When you are trying to go through tens of thousands of images it is so hard to include everyone, so I’m sorry to anyone I missed out! I loved every wedding this year, choosing my favourite images has been tough! If I did take a photo of you at some point this year I want to say a personal thank you! And all the couples who put their trust into me and my vision; thank you so, so much!

2018 is looking to be even busier and there’s only a few dates left in the calendar so please get in touch with me if you are looking for wedding photography in Cornwall or anywhere in the world really!

Scroll down to view a selection of my favourite wedding photography from 2017 and leave me a comment so I know you’ve been here! See you in 2018! Enjoy!

For photographers: About half of these images were made with Fuji XT2’s and a variety of lenses, but for the last six months or so I’ve been shooting on a pair of Sony A9 cameras and mostly three lenses: 18mm, 35mm and 85mm. Check out my review of the camera system here: Sony A9 for wedding photography. It’s a goodun!!
