I grew up in Newquay, and I always enjoy going back there to photograph weddings.
The Carnmarth Hotel is just up the road from Fistral Beach in Newquay, and is a lovely spot for a wedding, and regardless of the heavy winds, Joanna & Daniel made the most of it with a trip to Little Fistral for a walk on the way back to the venue after the ceremony.
The ceremony itself was at their local church, and there was a really homely/family vibe which continued throughout the day. It was obvious that family was very important to Jo & Dan, and it is always a pleasure to be involved in these type of genuine, down-to-earth weddings. I always say that it is the people & relationships that make a wedding, and this wedding was a perfect example.
The fabulous Motown Pirates played an awesome set, and it was also the first time I had the pleasure of seeing a ‘shot-ski’ in action. Needless to say, it was great night.
It was great to work alongside the fantastic ‘Baxter & Ted’, who handled the videography and now come highly recommended by me!
If you are getting married in the Newquay area and are looking for a relaxed, documentary wedding photographer who knows the area like the back of his hand, get in touch!
Wonderful images. A joy to see. dAVID
A DINGER OF A WEDDING Paul. KID PHOTOS AND THE BRIDE reflection SHOT IN THE CAR window really stand out for me.
