Sophie and Jack held their wonderful wedding in Bude and, though it was a bit of a rainy day, spirits were high and they had a beautiful day surrounded by their friends and family. Needless to say, it was great fun to photograph their wedding day.
A relaxed Sophie got ready at her Mum’s house before heading off to church in a rather special Sierra RS500 Cosworth; the same car that took her Mum & Dad to their wedding a couple of decades earlier! And, no it is not just the same type of car, it literally is the exact car, still owned and lovingly looked after by her Dad’s friend!
After the ceremony, and a Young Farmer’s pitchfork-arch to welcome them out of the church, they headed back to the ‘Cow-Shed’ at Wooda Caravan Park in Bude, for the reception. Food, speeches, tears, more food, dancing and drinking inevitably followed and a great time was had by all!
It was an absolute pleasure to photograph the day from start to finish, and be around such a lovely bunch of people. The effort that they had gone to with the venue decorations, flowers (Sophie is a florist at Bleujen Florists), home-made giant letters (Jack is a carpenter), and all of the personal touches, made the whole place look amazing, and their friends and family were all very welcoming and great fun to be around for a day.
Here is a small selection of their wedding photography. If you are getting married in or around the area of Bude or anywhere in Cornwall or Devon, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me for an informal chat over coffee or visit my portfolio for more examples of my wedding photography.
