Chris & Christina’s wedding took place on a blustery day at St Austell. Christina got ready at the beautiful Carlyon Bay Hotel, with the ceremony at the local St Augustine Catholic Church and then back to the Carlyon Bay Hotel for the reception.
Despite the weather, a fantastic day was had by all. After a rather busy and frantic bride preparation, I moved over to the relative calm of the Church. The ceremony was accompanied by the Mevagissey Male Voice Choir, who sang beautifully.
Back at the hotel the wind picked up for some breezy group shots, but everyone was in good spirits. The wind almost created a disaster though, by picking up the father of the brides speech and carrying it away! Thankfully some fast footwork by one of the groomsmen saved the speech from going off to sea.
Talking of speeches, the best man’s was the first I have encountered which revolved around a particularly menacing swan.
All in all, a great day was had by all, and it was certainly a pleasure for me to photograph Chris and Christina, who are a great couple and lovely people.
Below is a selection of some of my favourite images from the day. If you are looking for a photographer for Carlyon Bay Hotel or elsewhere, then please contact me today and visit my portfolio for more examples of my work.
