Beach Wedding in Newquay – Cate & Tay

sunset on lusty glaze beach, a wedding venue in Newquay

I don’t know where to start with Cate & Tay’s beach wedding at Lusty Glaze in Newquay. So being British, I’ll start with the weather…

When I looked at the forecast for the day I was in for a shock. Rain throughout and 40mph gusts of wind. Boom! Oh well, I suppose the images will look stormy and dramatic! In all honesty I wasn’t worried, I’d met and Skyped with Cate & Tay before the wedding and knew that they were going to have a blast, whatever the weather. They are one of the loveliest couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting; warm, energetic and oh so very much in love with one another. I’d been looking forward to it for a while and bit of wind and rain wasn’t going to stop anything!

The whole day was so much fun and energy levels were high throughout from everyone! An awesome atmosphere and plenty of laughs! I enjoyed every minute. Lusty Glaze is one of my absolute favourite venues, and it’s so cool that every time I’ve shot there the weddings have been wildly different. Head to this link for my main Lusty Glaze Wedding Photography page.

Cate & Tay’s awesome lust for life was particularly shown towards the end of the day when, buzzing as the sun made an appearance for the sunset, they took a spontaneous dip in the sea in their wedding outfits. You could literally feel their excitement and see it written on their faces, a truly magical moment.

I’m not going to say too much more here apart from a huge thank you to Cate & Tay for being so much fun to be around and for choosing to trust me with capturing their wedding day story. I’ll let the images tell the rest of the story of their beautiful, crazy day.

If you are looking for a beach wedding photographer, give me a shout for a coffee and a chat.
