As wedding venues go, Lusty Glaze is really quite special and unique. There are hardly any wedding venues where you are literally right on the beach. The knock on effect of this on your wedding day is huge because everyone just feels so relaxed and happy to be there!

Wedding Photography at Lusty Glaze

I’ll be honest, sometimes wedding photography doesn’t feel like work, and this is very much true at Lusty Glaze!

Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay is quite possibly my favourite wedding venue, having grown up just down the road and visiting the beach loads throughout my childhood. It really is somewhere that I know like the back of my hand and feels like home.

It is, to the best of my knowledge, the only wedding venue in Cornwall where you can get married right on the beach. Lusty is a privately owned cove with a wide sandy beach and dramatic views across to Newquay harbour and Towan headland. As you’ll see in my selection of Lusty Glaze wedding photography below, the sunsets at Lusty are spectacular! The backdrop, the atmosphere and the fact you are on a beach combines to produce exceptional wedding days which are full of moments for me to photograph.

Lusty Glaze Beach Wedding Venue

The whole team down at Lusty are amazing and deliver your wedding day in a stress-free and informal way. The food is great and all the staff are so friendly. I’d highly recommend getting in touch with Lisa, Naomi & Lauren at Lusty to discuss your plans if you are considering getting married there.

The restaurant and wedding marquee have totally perfect views straight onto the beach and the whole front of the marquee can be opened up to let in the sea breeze. You can easily setup some beach games or go in for a dip on your wedding day!

Experienced Lusty Glaze Wedding Photographer

I’ve photographed about 15 weddings at Lusty Glaze over the past few years. I know it extremely well and absolutely adore working there. I’ve found that every single wedding there has been completely relaxed and fun. It’s the type of wedding that Lusty is ideally suited for; relaxed & informal weddings. This suits my own style of documentary wedding photography perfectly. I have five more weddings booked there for 2019, which I can’t wait to get stuck into!

I always have a relaxed approach to the wedding portraits, but at Lusty Glaze Beach, this is even more true. You really don’t have to plan a time for it at all, you can just take a few moments to go for a stroll whenever it suits. As well as the obvious backdrop of the ocean, there’s also dramatic North-Coast cliffs, rock pools and caves; and keep your fingers crossed for one of Lusty’s epic sunsets!

Without exception I can say that every single couple were a complete pleasure to be around and a joy to photograph. Everyone has been so warm and welcoming, and I didn’t for one second feel like ‘the photographer’. I felt more like a guest who just happened to be taking photos, which is just perfect for a documentary style wedding photographer and exactly the kind of relationship and level of trust that I try to build with my couples.
