Tredudwell Manor is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Cornwall
Tredudwell Manor is tucked away in Lanteglos near Fowey, set on a stunning estate surrounded by lush lawns and trees, with views reaching right out to the coast. While some parts of the main house date back to the 14th century, it has been lovingly renovated and restored very recently, and has a charming mixture of old character mixed with a luxurious and modern design style.
As a wedding venue it is incredibly flexible and offers so much for you to make your perfect wedding day. It’s able to host outdoor weddings for up to 220 guests with its licenced ceremony temple next to the large pond and fountain. If the Cornish sun doesn’t play along there’s plenty of space for your guests to move inside to the wedding pavilion. It’s a bright and airy space with tons of natural light from the big bi-fold windows and has great views over the estate. The Manor house itself is also available for smaller weddings if you want a more intimate vibe for your day. There’s also some stylish accommodation in the luxury bed and breakfast rooms in the main house for up to 18 of your guests. Tredudwell can easily adapt to anything from tiny elopements to huge 200+ multi-day weddings!
Stylisticaly it’s a very flexible venue too. It would equally suit a formal black tie event as it would a rustic, bohemian wedding day, or a more festival feel. With the huge grounds you have plenty of room for garden games, and it’s such a nice place for your guests to go for an evening stroll to walk off the wedding breakfast! And the staff are superb, the wedding team at Tredudwell are absolutely lovely and run a really tight ship without being overbearing in any way.

Tredudwell Manor Wedding Photography
From a wedding photographer’s point of view, it’s an absolute dream to work at Tredudwell! Tons of natural light, beautiful and varied surroundings, characterful and stylish rooms, and space that can work in any weather conditions. After my first time working there I added it straight to my list of the best wedding venues in Cornwall, I loved it! Just to make it even better, with a short drive of a few minutes you have access to the South West coast path at Lansallos which is STUNNING! On Rory & Katie’s wedding day I walked down there in the morning and did a bit of pre-planning with my sun-seeker app to make sure we arrived there at the right time to catch the last rays of light before it dropped below the headland (see below).
Rory & Katie’s Wedding Weekend at Tredudwell Manor
And that brings me onto Rory & Katie’s wonderful two-day wedding celebration. What a weekend we had back at the end of August! The first day was the wedding ceremony itself and had the style of a relaxed and fun English country house wedding, with lawn games like croquet, a coconut shy, and a big cricket match, and all the traditional elements of a British wedding such as speeches, cake-cutting and first dance. It had been very, very wet on the run up to the wedding day (typical British summer!) so Katie & Rory made the decision to move their 120+ guests into the wedding pavilion for the ceremony rather than risk it outside! After a warm, emotional and funny ceremony (which hand does the wedding ring go on Rory?) we came outside to some beautiful weather which happily stayed with us for the rest of weekend! The atmosphere was lovely throughout with a cracking group of people making the most of it. Katie, Rory and I managed to sneak in a few chilled-out portraits throughout the day, with some on the beautiful grounds and, as I mentioned earlier, some over in a gorgeous meadow above the coastline at Lansallos. It was great to capture some images that show the love and connection they have as a couple, and also how damn stylish they looked! The second day was a Chinese banquet and out came the super-colourful traditional Chinese outfits. The day was focussed around two main events; a traditional Chinese tea ceremony in Tredudwell’s outdoor ‘wedding temple’, which was such a lovely event to witness; and a quite frankly epic 12-course Chinese feast! I’ve never seen so much food! I stayed for a while after to catch a few more portraits of the couple in the different outfits, and to catch some of the moments as they said goodbye to all their guests. Hugs, hugs and more hugs!
Here’s a handful of my favourite images from their wedding day.
That’s just a small selection of my faves from the huge gallery of images I provided of Katie & Rory’s Tredudwell Manor wedding celebration. I’d absolutely love to be involved if you are holding a wedding at Tredudwell, so please get in touch for a chat. I tend to book up quite far in advance so if you are interested, don’t put it off too long!
