This Porthilly Farm wedding was romantic, elegant and relaxed…
Sophie & Nick’s wedding day back in June last year was such a classy affair, at the stunning Porthilly Farm, near Rock in North Cornwall.
After a relaxed but fun time at morning preparations in a nearby holiday home we headed off to the tiny but picturesque St Michael’s Church in Porthilly. It’s down a typically narrow Cornish lane, but once you get down there and the views open up over the estuary, it’s all worth it! The church was packed (it is tiny after all!) and there was a lovely atmosphere.
After a traditional ceremony, the couple and I went for a walk on the beach (literally down a few steps from the church!) before heading back to Porthilly Farm itself, which is also within walking distance from the church, though Sophie & Nick jumped in a car for a lift!
Porthilly Farm
Porthilly Farm is an absolutely amazing venue for a marquee wedding, and on a nice day the views over the estuary and across to Rock and Padstow are just breathtaking.
Porthilly Farm itself is an organic dairy and oyster farm, that has turned it’s hand to weddings, and with the proximity of the nearby Church and the gorgeous location by the Camel estuary, it makes for a stunning wedding venue.
The rest of the day flowed perfectly, with the weather getting better and better! A really classy day, with everyone dressed to impress and incredible food (Sophie’s Dad is a chef after all!). Some brilliant speeches followed and plenty of great music and dancing, finishing off with a sparkler run! Happy days!
Down below are a few of my favourite images from Sophie & Nick’s Porthilly Farm wedding, I hope you enjoy, and I’d love to hear from you if you are planning a wedding in Cornwall.
