Emma & Kit were married back in August at the beautiful Trevenna Barns in Cornwall. One of my favourite wedding venues in Cornwall, it’s a wedding photographer’s dream to work at…
“We love what we’ve seen so far! You really captured the day and reinforced all the little memories we have. It’s so cool to see what each other were up to in the morning! It’s like a memory narrative, literally through the whole day!” – Emma
Trevenna Barns is a gorgeous set of private buildings based out on the moors in Cornwall, near the picturesque little town of St Neot. You get the place to yourself for your stay, and with plenty of accommodation on site, you really get a relaxed, intimate setting to spend loads of time with your family and friends. Emma & Kit had a non-traditional timeline to their day, and it was very individual to them and their wishes. I always encourage couples to do what they want, not what the traditions tell them to do, and not what anyone else thinks they should do. Be individual, be unique! So they essentially had two ceremonies; one outside at Trevenna in the glorious sunshine, and one at the local church in St Neot. Fab! They also had their gorgeous little pooch ‘Io’ deliver the rings, a candle lighting service at the church, and a pile of picnic blankets for relaxing out in the sun!
It was fab to work alongside a videographer at this wedding; Ben from Foster Filming. Ben’s extremely discreet and great to work with, and creates beautiful wedding films, you can see the film from this wedding here: Trevenna Wedding Film. Highly recommended if you are looking for a unobtrusive wedding videographer.
We were very lucky with some gorgeous light after dinner, and took a few moments to go for a walk around the grounds and make some very relaxed portraits. It was a joy to be able to spend the day with Emma & Kit and their lovely family & friends. It was such a cool, relaxed and fun day, and while it was definitely a stunning setting, it’s the people that really make a wedding.
2017 dates are almost all gone and 2018 is filling up fast, so don’t put it off, let’s have a chat about your wedding plans.
