ALBION ROW

Best of TwentySixteen

As is customary for me at this time of year, I take a bit of a look back at the previous year’s wedding images, and pick out a few of my personal faves…

*Update: you can see more recent ‘best of’ collections here for 2018 and 2019*

This year has been particularly special for me, as I married my girl on a mountain in Canada, just the two of us. It was an incredible experience, and also very informative for me to be on the other side of the lens. When we went through our images, there were plenty of tears, and I still can’t look at some of the images without feeling a huge burst of emotion. They are now among my most important and prized possessions, and I cannot wait to create a beautiful album. It really made it all hit home how important my images can be, how much of a big deal the trust is that all of my couples give to me when they book me to photograph their wedding day. Thank you so much each and every one of you for the privilege.

I’ve been witness to so much love and joy this year, it’s been awesome to experience. There’s a short two minute slideshow above (best viewed in full screen in 4k please!) with a few of my favourites, or if you prefer to take your time over images, just scroll down to see them all, and a handful of extras that wouldn’t fit in the film.

I’m looking forward to loads more amazing couples in 2017 and continuing to push my photography and experience for my clients. I’ve still got a few dates for 2017 and 2018 so if you are looking for a documentary wedding photographer to capture your fun-filled wedding day, don’t hesitate to get in touch for a chat.

For the photographers out there; these were all shot on Fujifilm-X cameras, mostly the X-Pro2 and X-T2 and with various lenses, but most often the 16mm, 23mm, 35mm & 56mm (24/35/50/85 equivs). You can see my Best of 2015 here, and my Best of 2014 here, if you want to see more of my favourite images.

I’d love to hear any thoughts in the comments section below. Have a great 2017 everyone!
