Fowey Hall Wedding

This Fowey Hall wedding was one of my absolute favourites from 2017!

Claire & Alex held their incredible wedding at Fowey Hall and it was a banger from start to finish! It was the first time I’d worked at Fowey Hall and it is a beautiful location, with excellent staff and stunning food. Highly recommended. But to be honest, I think Claire & Alex could have held their wedding in a shed and they would still have been grinning from ear to ear and enjoying every second. They are two of the smiliest, happiest people I have ever encountered and it was a pure joy to be a part of their day. Here’s their feedback about their wedding photography:

What can we say?!? We are absolutely over the moon with the photos from our wedding at Fowey Hall – wow, just wow! Paul captured every emotion with such detail and care, we laughed and then we cried whilst looking through them, as it took us straight back to the day – the smiles, the happy tears, the hugs, the cheers…you are so talented! We’ve looked through the whole gallery 3 times now and shared them with friends and family, they’re all equally as smitten with them as we are. Thank you, thank you, thank you – we knew when we met you that you were exactly what we wanted for our day; subtle, emotion driven and able to capture special moments and special people so effortlessly, you blended into our day and we are so thankful that you were a part of it. We expected them to be special, but you’ve blown us away – especially with the ‘portrait’ shots (which, as you know, neither of us thought we were cut out for!). Thank you from the bottom of our smiliest hearts. We’d 100% recommend Paul without hesitation.

Such lovely comments. It means everything to me to make my couples happy with their wedding images. It’s such an honour and huge responsibility to capture these memories for couples like Claire & Alex.

The day started out nice and relaxed and fun with the prep at Fowey Hall before we headed off to the church for the service. The church is well worth a mention; St Winnow Church is a 15th century church nestled right on the banks of the River Fowey and is the most stunning location. After a really lovely service and some confetti throwing we headed back to Fowey Hall for some festivities! It’s said that Fowey Hall was the inspiration for Toad Hall in the Wind in the Willows! Fowey Hall is a stunning victorian mansion that’s been restyled as a relaxed, but rather opulent, coastal manor retreat and needless to say it’s a wonderful venue for weddings. I’d love to work there again. After some very heartfelt speeches, especially from Claire’s lovely Mum, and plenty of laughs and fun times, we got stuck into a pretty banging dancefloor! One of the local DJ’s that I recommend was at this wedding, Robin from Fistral Stereo, and he did a great job keeping the party going!

It was also great to work alongside Ben from Foster Films again. Highly recommended if you are looking for a low-key videographer.

My words can’t describe how much fun this wedding was, so I’ll just let the images tell the story. Scroll down to see a selection of images from this amazing Fowey Hall wedding, and get in touch if you are planning a wedding at Fowey Hall, I’d love to go back there again.
